Total Events are gearing up for the final week of Cupcake Cinema in Eastern Gardens Geelong this Friday and Saturday night. Included in the production is our 8mx6m outdoor inflatable screen, a full range JBL audio system, and 5000 lumin NEC projector. The TE crew were at it again over the weekend looking after the “Monster Energy Super X Championship” at the Skilled Stadium in Geelong. With pumping full range audio needing to get over the noise of 20+ screaming motocross bikes per heat, Total Events had the inventory to suit the 10,000+ crowd who enjoyed seeing legendary Chad Reed win this leg of the Australian/NZ tour.
From the 29th September to the 4th of October, Total Events supplied all production requirements for the 2009 Australian Irish Dancing Association Championships at The Geelong Arena. Equipment and Services provided included VRX line arrays, Crown Amplifiers, 300 square metres of staging and 200 square metres of Tarkett, full venue draping, A/V mixing and distribution, and stage lighting. Over 1000 competitors participated during the week in one of the multiple venues, and celebrated at the 'Irish Dance Extravaganza' afterparty.
TE’s team has pushed forward to deliver an awesome weekend of football to Geelong Supporters and its Premiership side. The Live Site, Players wind down parties, Supporters Day and Street Parade have all occurred with Total Events on board. From the Super Screen at Skilled Stadium to the turnout of 20,000 people at the conclusion of the street parade, the week has been one to remember and we had a ball putting it all together!
For the third year running, Total Events will work with the Geelong Cats and provide all entertainment infrastructure
and production for their AFL Grand Final festivities. Total Events will provide all stages, ground support systems,
big screens, PA, and lighting for the sites, including the CoGG Skilled Stadium Live Site on Grand Final Day, The Geelong
Cats Supporters Day on Sunday 27th, and without doubt, the 2009 AFL Premiers Street Parade-Player Presentation on Wed 30th
September in Johnstone's Park, Geelong.

Total Events was on board again this week with the Leukaemia foundation with their first ‘Light the Night’ event in Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne. Total Events had the pleasure of providing the event with Staging, Lighting, Audio, and AV equipment for the balloon lighting ceremony. The sea of Blue, Gold, and White Balloons walking along the Yarra River was a sight to behold. Equipment included JBL speakers, Mac moving lights, LED’s, Shure microphones, Soundcraft audio consoles & Lectrum Lecterns
Total Events looked after Suzi Q’s staging & venue requirements at the Geelong Arena. Suzi performed a killer set to a crowd of 1700 bringing out all the classic rock songs with a huge response from Devil Gate Drive. Total Events supplied all of the venue based requirements including staging, rigging, technical staff & venue services.
Total Events provided audio visual services to the Makybe team - one of Australia's finest Racing & Breeding operations. Street Hero & Purrealist, who are both grade 1 Stallions, held the attention of the regions breeders as they were shown on a blustery spring Sunday at the Makybe property just North of Geelong. Total Events serviced the event with JBL speakers & Shure microphone systems, along with Marantz Plasma Displays.
Total Events Crew supplied the Leukaemia Foundation with all production requirements for their Geelong Waterfront awareness, remembrance and fundraising event.
Many supporters, survivors, friends & families gathered to support such a worthy cause & to enjoy the live music and a balloon “Lighting” ceremony. This also involved a walk along Geelong’s Waterfront with their lit balloons. Total Events provided all elements including Stage, Audio, Lighting & A/V – It was a great community Event.
Total Events recently looked after the Bay FM Ball which raised money for the Light the Night foundation and also celebrated 20 years of BAY FM!! 150 patrons dressed up to party attended the black tie event at the Wool Exchange Entertainment Complex to be entertained by Elliott Goblet and then a couple of amazing sets from Ross Wilson & Band. Truffle Duck put on a mouth watering spread of fine food with wines from Pettavel winery.
“Rack Em Up” and that’s what they did for the annual St. Hidas “Unsuitaball” at the Collingwood Town Hall with “Yacht Club DJ’s” and “Scientists of Modern Music” slamming the meters into the red with 500 students enjoying the all inclusive bars & food it was a big night for many. Total Events supplied all production elements from the JBL Speaker System, DJM800,CDJ1000’s & Soundcraft Consoles, through to the Mac 250’s, Led PAR 64’s & Jands 408 Console – too much fun for many students but a breeze for the crew.
Breakfast @ Crown is where you will find the TE Crew once a month looking after Breakthrough Events Business Networking sessions. The Crew bring in all Audio Visual elements including NEC Projectors, Fast Fold Screens, Shure Radio Microphones, Allen & Heath Mixing Console’s & JBL Speaker Systems – we even bring in our own JLG (EWP) elevated work platform to access the points for projectors & lighting, it makes set up a breeze with quick and safe access. The crew start @ 2:00am and are happy to get back to base for lunch and knock off.
Sports fans - Total Events supplied the packed out Geelong Arena with a thumping audio system to cater for the recent international game of basketball between the Australian Opals and China, the crowd went nuts as the girls brought the game right down to the line with China only just beating them by a few points 95/93 – The JBL Central Cluster & Crown amps coupled with Shure Radio Microphones effortlessly covered the arena.
It was a huge party the crew @ Total Events turned on for Cotton on Groups celebration of its 500th store in the US of A. It was an awesome USA themed party right down to the JBL speakers, Crown Amps, DBX Processors & Shure mics in the huge club system that took over the Auditorium @ the Geelong Arena Basketball Stadium. The surprise staff only party kicked off @ 4pm with 6 bus loads of fancy dressed patrons that didn't have a clue what they were in for. We had a ball putting it together and know the crew @ Cotton On had a hoot.
