Total Events New Traineeship Commences 7th of July 2009

Total Events has recently commenced training of a new group of trainees, studying for a Certificate 3 in Music Industry (Technical Production).

Over the next year these trainees will study all aspects of audio, lighting, audiovisual, and staging systems using some of the most advanced systems available in the events hire industry today. The trainees are also required to undertake basic studies in occupational health and safety, cultural diversity and teamwork as required for the award of a Nationally Recognised Training Package. During this time they are given real opportunities to practice their skills by working on local and major events throughout Victoria and Australia.

This latest intake brings to 45 the total number who have been offered permanent part time positions at Total Events since 2006, showing our commitment to our industry and our local community.

Total Events @ Paintball 7th of June 2009

On a cold Sunday morning a group of TE staff enjoyed the battle of what was 'paintball.' The group were split into two, the aim to target the opposition as much as possible and cover them with as much paint as possible. Three fields of battle were played and although one team would argue that they won the battle, the war has certainly not been won by either team...the bruises all over everyone's bodies prove it. Another social event will be planned shortly. A big thank you to Ricky for organizing this event.

Total Events has been putting its equipment & services out to events to help benefit those who have lost so much in the recent Black Saturday Fires, we would like to thank our staff who have donated their time & expertise in supporting these events which have been across the state including Geelong, Bendigo & Apollo Bay

Total Events @ Golden Plains Music Festival 12th of March 2009

Total Events and loads of our staff are in recovery after a fantastic Long Weekend at Golden Plains Music Festival, This festival is in its 3rd year and is held in the Supernatural Amphitheater at Meredith - the same site as the infamous Meredith Music Festival. It was a monumental line up with Mogwai, Gary Neuman, The Drones, The Black Seeds & You Am I plus many others. We are all looking forward to December when we will be back on site for the annual Meredith Music Festival.

Total Events to supply Master Games. 16 Feb 2009

Total Events has been contracted to supply production requirements for the forthcoming Masters Games to be held in Geelong. The opening ceremony will be held at Skilled Stadium on Saturday 21st with various entertainment across Geelong for the week following. All festivities will finish with the closing ceremony to be held at The Geelong Arena on Saturday 28th February.

Total Events has added to its LED lighting stock, with the purchase of LED Honeycomb 72 Touring wash fixtures. These units contain 72 x 1w LED's and are perfect for various colour washing needs. With their IP65 rating, they make the perfect solution for outdoor lighting, but are equally suitable in indoor venues.

Total Events buy more Jands Vista. 14 Feb 2009

Being an early user of Jands Vista, Total Events has increased its hire stock of consoles and 512ch 'Dongles' of one of the world's easiest to use lighting control systems. As this is rapidly becoming our operator's choice of console, we have answered the forever growing demand for more of these units within our hire department. The addition of more moving light and LED stock has also increased this need for more control consoles.
